87. Sikh: Has Meaning Changed in Digital Era? – Part 3

Paatshahi 3, blessed with boons, epitome of Gur Seva, showed everyone the traits of real Gurmukh. He left every relation behind, He heed no attention to what others have to say about Him, Gur Seva – Service to Guru became His lifestyle and He found the purpose of His existence, at an age at which people lose the grip over reality. He found His destiny, to help the plant sown by Baba Nanak to grow further as ‘Third Nanak’. He eradicated weed of ritual ‘Sati Pratha’ used against women, nourishing the plant further with His thoughts and Shabad. And then one fine day He blesses an Orphan Boy, Who knew only Guru as the only relation with Throne Of Baba Nanak, Dhan Shri Guru Raam Das Ji.
Paatshahi 4, found refuge in Guru Ghar, else the atrocious and selfish world would have ruined a soft-hearted tender age child by its ruthless behavior. But His destiny was already written and Datar Pita – The Great Giver and Father just pulled Him in His Shelter. He reached such a state By Grace of Guru, that Dhan Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji say following in His Glory:
You are unchanging, unfathomable and immeasurable; You have no end or limitation.
And He, Who has achieved such state is so humble that when asked “Why are you keeping such long beard”, replies that long beard is meant to clean feet of saints like him. How many would have shown such humbleness. This gift of humbleness He received as legacy of Guru Ghar. He kept enriching the plant with His Baani too. Dhan Shri Guru Raam Das Ji, followed will of His Guru and laid the foundation of city ‘Ramsar’, now known as Amritsar. By Grace of Guru the city became the epicentre of Sikh Activities. The humbleness He received in legacy when ripen He handed over the plant to Dhan Shri Guru Arjan Dev Ji.
