Dhan Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji have inspired generations, irrespective of caste and religion. And once surrender is made at ‘His’ feet, an individual begins to lose the grip on ‘fictional reality’.
(I have now escaped from them, and they have run away from me.)
His words and actions are exemplary. His glory is beyond comprehension and still His humbleness, requesting ‘Panj Pyare’ (Five Beloved Ones) allowing Him to join their ‘Elite Panth’ by asking ‘Them’ to render Him the ‘Amrit’, does not know any bounds. HIS sacrifices, as Son, as Father, as Guru, cannot be described in mere words, they have to be felt. His leadership enthused such a spirit in withered souls that ‘Meeker and Weaker’ formed a formidable force to resist the advances of evil trying to ransack the culture, faith, belief of people of India.
We are fortunate to be given an identity and a direction to live in society by ‘The Great Guru’. But is that all about Him, a Warrior, ‘Sarbans Daani’ (One who has sacrificed whole kin) and a Leader? These are just few aspects of His personality. Once I heard Sant Maskin Singh Ji saying:
“As Sikhs, we have portrayed Dhan Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji only as a ‘Great Warrior’ in front of world and somewhere we have failed to present Him as complete.”
The fact is, Dhan Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji is ‘Completeness’ and whatever spoken or written about Him will be incomplete. It will never be possible for mortal like us to present His Completeness; how finite can ever portray infinite. The key is not expression but realization; realization comes with emotions resulting from gratitude; gratitude is outcome of His image carved out in soul and not merely in mind, as mind will forget and wander but soul is eternal being part of ‘Supreme Existence’.

 “Who is greater than You (addressing Dhan Shri Guru Teg Bhadur Ji), please save religion of others with Your supreme sacrifice.”
 Dhan Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, thanking Almighty after Baba Ajit Singh Ji and Baba Jujhar Singh Ji fell in Battle of Chamkaur. And He remained calm after hearing loss of Baba Jorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji.
 “So what if four of My Sons have died, thousands of them (Khalsa Panth) are still alive.”
